Anıttepe
High School was established as "Gülhane Secondary School" in 1967-1968
education year and continued its activities until 1973.
Although a
24-class high school, named "Beşevler High School", was intended to be built
in Beşevler district due to the insufficent numbers of schools in Ankara,
the construction was started in the garden of "Gülhane Secondary School"
since a proper construction site could not be found in the mentioned
district. The building was completed in 1972 by the Fifth District
Directorate of the Ministry of Public Works. It was assigned to the Ministry
of Education on 10/07/1973 after being temporarily approved on 12/10/1972.
After the
school was assigned to the Ministry of Education, the educational activities
started after setting up the 9th and 10th grades in 1973-1974 Educational
Year. Subsequently, the name of the school was changed to "Anıttepe High
School" in line with the Directive no. 2670 and dated 30/09/1975.
Our school
is located in Anittepe district where our great leader Atatürk's Mausoleum
was built. And it
continues its educational activities under the title of "Anıttepe High
School" since 1973.
