ABOUT OUR PROJECT

 

       

 

        We,  as the English teachers of Anıttepe High School, applied to a Comenius project called "New Young European Agency for Radio Station " in 1st February 2005, its coordinator was College Paul Scarron from France.  The applications were evaluated and our approval to the project came on August 2005. This project is financed by the National Agency.       

        The main purpose  of Comenius programmes  is to encourage the colloboration between the schools in Europe, and by this way to redount the quality of schools, to enlarge the European dimension and to asist the dialogue  between cultures by language education.

        Our Project, which  consists of 9 schools from 7 countries,is a radio agency  broadcasting  via internet. Those 9 schools connects to the coordinator school on specific dates and read their texts they prepared beforehand. Those texts are read in each country’s  mother language,  in French and in English and are broadcasted  online via internet. By this way, all partners learn about each others social and school lives, their education and culture. And since  the common language is English, all the teachers and students who involved in the project have chance to improve their English.
