                         GERMANY DREAM

The five days which I spent in Germany were just like a dream. It was my first journey. Germany welcomed me very friendly.

Berlin, with its high buildings, parks and  people is exactly a capital city. Even a small stone from the ealier times is restored and you can read the history of Berlin everywhere in the city. Berlin smells history so it is fascinating.

I  think the most interesting thing in the city is the little ski center at the middle of the city. If  you fed up with walking you can go there and ski, when you finish skiing you can go the ''Ausblicke''   and watch the whole city. It is really relaxing.

And of course Teterow, that little, cute city. From its houses to its stories Teterow is a really cute city.I  think the most beautiful thing about  the city is its funny story-the man and the big fish  he catched-even this story is enough to show us how the people in the town is funny and warm.

In Germany from the city condition to educational system everything is systematic. The only thing we must  do is ''living'' and in that beautiful country  ''living'' is the easiest thing.

One day I want to go Germany, Teterow again and listen to the bell of the big fish in the lake.

Thank you for supplying us this opportunity..

                From Ankara To Berlin

A magnificent city, reflecting lately world history and  technological capital of Germany.

Last week, two of my friends Esra ,Utku and I  went to Germany with two of our  Englısh teachers Özlem İleri and Songül Abuhan for five days.  Going to a foreign country was very exciting for me. When I was in plane, I was thinking of  Berlin, my host  family and German culture. I tried to get ready for Germany before going there.

We came from İstanbul to Berlin at 10:30 am. Mr. Rösler and Mr. Lehmkuhl met us then we went to the flat of Katja who is Mr. Rösler’s daughter. She welcomed us very friendly. I saw that German people were very sincere. Then I learnt this was an absurdity rumour about Germans. Then we walked around Berlin and they showed us Parliament  House of Germany and “Potsdamer Platz”. As I see, German people have preserved  their history up to now.. Time to time it can be bad for Germans but history is very important for me. Parliament House was  like an art museum. Also it was a technological place especially with its  tower and it was a perfect creation. And “Postdamer Platz” was very interesting for me because    ıt had the fastest elevator I  had ever seen.

Then we set off to Teterow. It took two hours to arrive there.

When we were in Teterow, we went to Night Club with our home mates on the first day. People were free and there was no problem about amusement. As I understand, If you don’t interfere someone, nobody interferes you.

In Teterow We went to a place where you could see everywhere from here well. A German friend took me here.  We walked a long way  together. While I was walking here I was in peace. I wish I could be there now, but unfortunately I will see that place in my dreams.

Finally, my host family was very friendly to me. We talked about Turkey, Germany, football, making meals, politics, culture and so many things. They were interested in Turkey , our culture and way of our living. They wanted to know everything about Turkish people. Then I explained everything about them.

This school trip was very good for me. I hope it was good for German friends and teacher as well. Thanks to our teachers to give a good chance for us.

UTKU’S IMPRESSIONS ABOUT GERMANY VISIT

Another country, another culture, other people… It wasn’t strange for me but I was very excited, because I would have gone to the country which I had wondered most. Time went down quickly for departure from Turkey.

My first impression about Germany was “What a systematic traffic there is!”. After I had met my host family, I noticed that there weren’t very big differences between German family and Turkish family lives. My host family and the students of Gymnasium Teterow were so friendly to me and I didn’t have any difficulty about communication or something else… Moreover, I felt myself better when I saw that I could speak German quite well.

Everything was in an order at school; students’ behaviours, discipline, two-lined people at stairs, hygiene of toilets…  It was very effective for me. When I had the presentation about my city, I saw that German students were really interested in the title and this made me happy. After the presentations, I tought some Turkish words and phrases with my friends.

And unfortunately, the time passed too fast. Germany visit was an unforgettable experience for me! Moreover, it changed my opinions about the university branch I wanted to study on… Also, my host family was the best thing that a visitor can see. I hope to be there again, soon.
